October 19, 2009 - Likes it - We had a delicious lunch and a remarkably gorgeous evening meal. The food was cooked to perfection, but that was not the only thing that made our stay there great.
Mark and of course the rest of the staff, you made our day there. Friendly, pleasant and didnt we have some laughs. You are in our heart.

We heard about the River City Grill from friends that participate in the Wild Game Cookoffs for Alabama. We were told that the River City Grill won the competition. So on the way down 431 toward Panama City, we stopped in for dinner. It was great. I had a steak and my wife had a fresh fish dinner. The wait staff was prompt and courteous. The food arrived quickly. My steak was medium rare just like I wanted and my wife found the fish to be mouth watering. We will probably make this our halfway stop every time we go down to the coast.

If you are headed to the Gulf Coast and happen to go through the quaint town of Eufaula, AL, the River City Grill is worth stopping and having lunch. The restaurant in nicely decored and seems to be a favorite of a lot of the locals. I had a great cup of "Loaded Potato Soup" and a Tropical Spinach Salad with pineapple chunks, ham and cheese with a pineapple vingarette. The served yeast rolls were very good as well. The portions are large and the service was very good and attentative.

I am originally from Eufaula, but currently live in Maryland. Every time I come home I come by the RCG for dinner and some drinks. I was there the other night after the Auburn/Alabama game and it was great. Food was great, drinks were great, bartender from Russia was great, and the company was great. Just wanted to congratulate you on such a nice place to hang out and enjoy food, drink, and friends in Eufaula.

River CIty Grill is fabulous! My lunch group enjoyed a leisurely lunch and it was without a doubt one of the best times we've ever had. Everything was just perfect! We enjoyed the Garlic Shrimp Alfredo over angel hair (the best I"ve ever had anywhere), the "Downtowner Sandwich" (rave reviews), the Fried & Grilled Grouper(both divine), the Chicken salad sandwich, and an unbelievable burger. Don't miss the "HOMEMADE" kettle chips..Yum......The sandwiches are huge and all other portions are very generous. The sides were wonderful and the chicken peasant soup we enjoyed left us begging for the recipe!!! Our server, Lisa, was a joy...so patient, knowledgable, sweet and friendly. We will definately ask for her next time.We drove an hour and it was so worth it. Of course, after you've had lunch, you can walk it off in downtown Eufaula which is full of interesting shops and antique stores. We had a ball...fabulous food, fabulous service!!! They're open for dinner too!

We stopped in Eufaula mainly due to the lack of hotels in Georgia, where we were traveling. I read previous comments about this restaurant, so we tried it when we were in town. It was busy, and a little slow, as it was dinner rush hour. Our waiter, Clay, was very attentive, and a generally good guy. I had crab cakes, and my wife had the Champagne Chicken that was mentioned by a previous reviewer. The crab cakes were good, but the CC was the winner! I should also mention that the in-season vegetables were cooked perfectly, a rarity in any restaurant. A very satisfying meal! I should also mention that the lady at the Chamber of Commerce was very helpful as we hadn't arranged for a hotel, and arrived late in the afternoon. Also note this is in a different timezone from Georgia.

Easily the best upscale casual dining in Eufaula. River City Grill has a diverse menu . Appetizers run from fried ravioli to seared ahi tuna with soy and wasabi. Excellent steaks and seafood. Great wine, beer and liquor selection.

Definetly the best restaurant in Eufuala. I visit multiple times when I am in town. It's a must visit. Try the Bleu Lucy, its the best I ever had!

We travel through Eufaula regularly for destinations north, and always had a hard time finding a restaurant we cared for. This time, we stopped here for dinner and had a wonderful experience. The food was well presented and very good. Service was a little slow, but attentive. We have three small children, and we didn't feel self-conscious dining in this upper-scale restaurant. We will definately be back.
